I am Colin and have been practicing Remedial & Sports Massage since 1999 when I completed a Diploma in Health Science (Remedial Massage). My philosophy toward body needs is that if the body is not moving satisfactorily, something could be out of place. So my first part of the treatment is to ensure that the muscles are ‘aligned’ and in their ‘gutters’ correctly.

Remedial Massage. Remedial Massage stretches muscles, inhibits muscle spasm, increases flexibility and helps break down scar tissue. Therefore, it can help you recover from injury, either from an accident, sport or surgery. (Note for Practitioners – I am willing to coach if you wish.)

Corrective Manipulation of  Muscles, Tendons and Ligaments (Lester Cox Method). 

As muscles go ‘out of place’, this method realigns the muscles and tendons to where they  should be to enable full and effective movement.

If you have pain, I consider first that ‘things are out of place’. Then if there is tissue damage, I work on enabling healing to take effect by massage, and deep tissue work and  cupping. (Note for Practitioners – Let’s do a swap and learn from each other.)

Sports Injuries. If you play sport, regular massage can help prevent injury. We can develop a massage program in conjunction with your training to maximise your performance and rehabilitation.

Relaxation Massage. If your physical or emotional health is challenged, massage can eliminate the production of stress chemicals in the  body. If you’re feeling under pressure, wind down with a soothing massage to feel revitalised.

Kahuna  Bodywork. Kahuna Massage is unique in a number of respects. The  practitioner uses their hands, forearms and elbows and moves around the table (using flowing hula and Tai Chi style movements) working with energy while applying soft and deep tissue massage.

It is a wonderful way to pamper yourself or a friend. To bring the joy of life to your body, a feeling of peace  to your mind, a sense of wonder to your soul. This is the ‘rolls-royce’  massage. (Note for Practitioners – Let’s do a swap and learn from each other.)
